Whenever you hear the name “NOKIA“, one thing comes to mind… DURABILITY. Long ago, people used to teased that when a Nokia phone hits the ground, the ground breaks.
Although that isn’t true, you’ve got to admit that Nokia phones were really strong.
When I heard that HMD would be handling the production of Nokia phones, I thought they wouldn’t be able to keep up the good name. But it seems they are!
In a new YouTube video, the new Nokia 6 was used to smash a walnut (both the front and back was used) you can watch the video below;
The tester in the video used both the front screen and the back casing to attempt to break the walnut and it did break the shell without any damage to the Nokia 6’s display or body, not even a scratch.
A few days back, Nokia teased the Nokia 6 as having a military grade body that can withstand a wide range of extreme conditions, such as extreme temperature, high humidity, snow, water etc.
The monster device will go on sale starting from January 19 2017.
In a bid to keep whatsapp as the ‘oba‘ of instant messaging, a brand new feature has been added to the mix.
The new feature allows you to stream videos while downloading them, just like on Youtube.
Before this feature this feature came along, you could only watch videos sent to you via Whatsapp after you have downloaded it, but now you can easily preview the video before you download it. So if while previewing the video you feel like you are not interested, you don’t have to download it.
I think it is really helpful as you on’t have to download lame videos anymore. To get this feature enabled, you have to download the latest WhatsApp beta update from Play Store, iPhone users will have to wait a while to get this feature.
Sometime last year, Whatsapp announced that it was stopping support for some devices including BB10 devices.
It appears they are keeping true to their word because few days ago, a lot of users reported that they got this message when they tried to open their WhatsApp
“You can’t send messages to this chat because WhatsApp no longer supports this phone”
What this means is that Whatsapp is no longer supported on BB10 devices.
However though, one advantage Blackberry 10 has over all the other non-supported devices is its ability to run Android apps hence, this gives you a bit of hope that you can still use WhatsApp on your Blackberry 10 device.
I’m going to quickly guide you on how to install WhatsApp on Blackberry 10 in a few minutes.
How to Install WhatsApp on Blackberry 10 Devices
1. On your BB10 device go to Settings > App Manager > Installing Apps and enable installations from unknown source.
2. Download the latest version of WhatsApp apk.
3. Run and install it on your device
Once the manual settings are completed, your WhatsApp should run normal without seeing the dreadful message of your device not supported.
But if this doesn’t fix the problem, I think its about time for you to upgrade your device to a supported device.
If you switch between Tariff plans on MTN a lot, you should know that it USED to be N100 per migration. However, sometime this year, MTN made it free of charge meaning you can switch between Tariff plans as much as you want to suit your needs without having to pay a dime.
Unfortunately, yesterday I migrated from BetaTalk to Pulse and I received the message below:
What’s so important about switching Tariff plans?
Well, let’s say you have N1,000 and you want to subscribe for MTNs 1k for 1.5GB data plan and you also need to call someone important, what do you do?
If I was in your shoes, what I would do is;
First Migrate to BetaTalk
Load the 1k recharge card When you recharge on BetaTalk you get 250% bonus.
Now I have 1,000 to subscribe and 2,500 to call or text any network.
And when I’m done using the bonus, I just go back to PULSE, talk about eating your cake and having it.
However according to the message I received from MTN NG, you’ll only get one free migration per month, other migration would attract a N100 fee.
The year, whatsapp has seen a lot of impressive upgrades ranging from Zip file sharing and call-back support, to GIF support to the most important VIDEO CALLING! which a lot of people are still enjoying.
It seems yet another update will soon be unleashed, and it is one feature fast-typers such as me need a lot… I can not count how many times I have sent wrong messages (most times I type without looking at my screen so…). With the new feature I don’t have do what I used to.. Wondering what I used to do? Look at it below…
New reports suggest that WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows its users to ‘revoke’ an already sent message, edit it then send it again.
This feature is currently available on BBM and Gmail.
The ‘revoke’ feature is said to have been spotted on WhatsApp beta version 220.127.116.119 on iOS.
While the ‘revoke’ and edit feature is really cool, what is more interesting about the feature is that the ‘recalled’ message will disappear or get deleted from the receivers’ phone too.
Upgrading smartphones to the Latest version is just…. Beautiful!
I remember when I updated my Infinix Hot Note from 4.4 kitkat to 5.1 Lollipop, it was amazing because it felt like I got a new phone… New features, new look, everything felt new.
From what I’m hearing, it seems the latest Android version which is Android 7.0 Nougat would be coming to Infinix Note 3 Pro soon.
I believe, this is a sign that other Infinix devices might soon get fresh system updates. So if you are using an Infinix Note 3 Pro, get ready to welcome Android 7.0 Nougat into your device.
Now, I dont know if the 7.0 update would be available for the regular Note 3 or if it’s for the pro version only but we have to cross our fingers and see what happens.
Some might notice since they had installed Windows 10 on their PC, Sleep Mode and hibernate are missing in Power section or area.
Some had concluded already that it depends on PC, but it is not.
Following this guide can help you fix or enable it on your PC.
Click Start, type: Power Options
Under Control Panel Home, click Choose what the power buttons do
Click the link Change settings that are currently unavailable
Then scroll down to the bottom of the window and ensure Sleep is checked and click Save Changes
You should now see them listed when you click Start > Power
